Brooke Rosenthal, a UA freshman studying Pre-Business recommends that prospective students take charge of their college applications before they even set foot back in high school. “The summer prior to my senior year, I started my college application process. I applied to the University of Arizona very early to make sure that I got accepted and would be considered for an academic scholarship.”

It’s true; students who apply early have the greatest chance of earning merit-based scholarships. And that makes everyone happy.

Besides the peace of mind that comes from making an early decision, Brooke notes that there are many other benefits to getting your application process completed early. “Once I received my acceptance letter from the UA, I immediately applied for housing. I heard that the university was building two new residence halls and knew that was where I wanted to live. I was placed into the brand-new Likins Hall and was extremely excited to hear the great news.”

With her application and housing both taken care of early, Brooke managed to free up some of that much needed time during her senior year.

“I would recommend to anyone applying to the University of Arizona to apply extremely early, that way you can choose your housing quickly and you can relax and enjoy your senior year knowing you’re already accepted into a great university.”
