Dates and Deadlines
Dates and Deadlines for U.S. Domestic Freshmen Applicants
Students who wish to learn of their admission to the University of Arizona early in their senior year may consider applying through the Wildcat Promise process.
The Wildcat Promise notification process at the University of Arizona is non-binding, providing students the opportunity to learn of their admission decision before the winter holiday break. They do not indicate a first-choice preference by applying early and still may wait until May 1 to indicate their decision to attend.
Students admitted to the University of Arizona have until the May 1 deadline to decide whether they would like to confirm their attendance at the University. If a student is denied admissions in the Wildcat Promise process, then the process ends and he/she cannot apply later during the Regular Admission process. If a student is deferred, the Admissions Committee has decided to review the application further in the Regular Admission process, and so “rolls over” the application to Regular Admission.
These deadlines refer to the receipt of a complete admissions application. A complete University of Arizona Admissions Application includes:
- Online or paper application
- Application processing fee or eligible fee waiver
- Official high school transcripts
- Official Test Scores (must be received in order to be considered for merit scholarships and admissions to the Honors College, however admission decisions can be made without test scores)
The deadlines below apply to domestic applicants: prospective students who are U.S. citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents, Refugees, or Asylees.
