Major: Microbiology & Pre-Pharmacy
Hi, my name is Vidhi and I am from Zambia! I am studying Microbiology and Pre-Pharmacy, and it has truly been an amazing experience.
I have learned an exceptional amount about myself and my capabilities. Being thousands of miles away from my family has made me resilient, and the feeling of accomplishing my goals independently is wonderful!
I love UA for many reasons. The University of Arizona is a diverse place and it has students from all around the world. The staff, the professors and the students are courteous and always ready to help. They are so patient and never show any hesitation. There are numerous services and resources that support you in achieving your goals and allow you to grow as a person. The university also has a variety of programs to choose from and substitutes if a particular major/minor is not offered. Finally, if you love the sunshine on a daily basis, then this is the place to be!
My best experience so far at the University of Arizona has been this year's spring break. I wen to Honduras with a UA program and never have I met such grateful people. The people in Honduras are so patient, hospitable and they taught me how to appreciate the things I have. I would not have had this wonderful opportunity if I was at another university.
After graduation, my ambition is to get into pharmacy school and pursue pharmacology or pediatric pharmacy. My other ambition also includes visiting places like Honduras and other international rural communities to help construct needed facilities.

Major: Geosciences
Hi, my name is Husna and I am from Malyasia! My major is Geosciences.
As an international student, I love the opportunity to get involved in campus activities and be a part of the UA community. For example, I was a Peer Integrator for the International Student Orientation and Treasurer of the Malaysian Student Organization. I also love that the College of Science always offers a variety of opportunities to learn and experience hands-on science while working with world class professors and researchers!
The best thing about being a UA student is that I have the chance to discover my full potential. I have met a lot of new people with different backgrounds, cultures and languages. I am surrounded by positive and enthusiastic people, which encourages me to excel in my studies and be a leader. Best of all, I am receiving a top-rate education!
UA is also helping me select my future career. During my studies here, I discovered that development and civilization heavily rely on the oil and gas industry. This is why I want to work in Exploration and Production (E&P).
I highly recommend coming to UA no matter what field/major you want to explore. UA has excellent faculty, facilities and sources to be a strong student and leader. This is the perfect environment to motivate you to make contributions to the Arizona and global community.
