Major: Electrical Engineering
Hi, my name is Gautam and I was born in Chennai, India! I graduated from high school in Chennai and then joined the University of Arizona where I studied Electrical Engineering.
Studying at the University of Arizona has been a great experience! The technical education and the hands-on experience I received helped me build my abilities as an engineer.
The university also provided me with financial assistance and scholarships, which helped me smoothly complete my undergrad. I have already completed my bachelor's degree at UA, and I had such a great experience that I decided to continue my studies with the UA Graduate College.
After I complete my graduate degree, I am hoping to build my career as an electrical engineer designing integrated circuits. The University of Arizona and its faculty have guided me on to the right path to achieve my goals. The numerous career fairs and information sessions featuring prestigious industrial companies provided me with a clear view of my career options.
The best part of being a UA student is that UA not only has one of the best faculties to work with, but they also have various activities that are fun and help you grow as a student. It is an amazing experience to be a student at this esteemed educational institution. Keeping all these factors in mind, I would highly recommend UA for undergraduate education.

Major: Philosophy, Politics, Economy and Law
Hello, my name is Carolina and I am from Cananea, Sonora, Mexico! I am studying Philosophy, Politics, Economics and Law (PPEL). This is a relatively new major at UA, where students are taught about contemporary political issues within the country and the country’s diplomatic relations.
My experience at UA has been life changing! Not only am I studying at a university that is has one of the top programs for my degree, but the location is also perfect! It’s great to know that I am less than five hours away from my home and at the same time, I am studying in a different country.
After graduation, I would like to contribute to my country politically and economically based on my experiences and studies that I acquired from the excellent professors at the university. In particular, I recommend UA because of its prestige, climate, and location. Also, I recommend it for the diversity of its student body, which allows you meet people from different countries and also learn things outside of your focus of study. UA counts on exceptionally talented faculty willing to prepare the best professionals of the future and broaden their horizons to different experiences.

Major: Retailing and Consumer Sciences
Hi, my name is Melissa and I'm from the small beach town of Ballina, Australia! I am majoring in Retailing and Consumer Sciences with a minor in Fashion and Consumers.
I chose UA to continue my education because of the variety of majors on offer, including many nationally ranked and internationally respected programs. UA offers dedicated faculty and staff that really want to see you succeed. Coursework is supplemented with experiential learning and professional development programs that will make you stand out when entering the job market.
The gorgeous campus, variety of clubs, and perfect Tucson weather didn't hurt in making my decision either! Coming from the beach, Tucson is definitely a change, but it is a stunningly beautiful city! The mountains are a beautiful backdrop to a city pioneered by innovation and rich in culture.
Since starting at UA, I have immersed myself in the campus culture by joining multiple clubs (one specific to my major and the other with a broader reach across campus), participating in workshops hosted by industry leaders, working on campus at the Office of Admissions and of course attending the famous Wildcat basketball games. There really is a club or activity for everyone!
I love that there is such a strong school spirit across campus. It truly is like its own community. Being so far from home, it was a great relief to feel that instant sense of belonging. Along with a world class education, I will take from UA a great sense of pride in being a Wildcat!
