At the University of Arizona, we are receiving applications and admitting new Wildcats every day. We also receive many emails and phone calls from students requesting the status of their application or wondering why they haven’t received a decision yet.
Today, we are able to receive so many things instantly, such as texts or snaps from our friends. Your college application is slightly more complicated. There's a lot our office needs to do in order to process your application and deliver a decision to you. We also know that finally clicking submit on the application you have put so much time and effort into is both exciting and nerve-racking. In an effort to ease your post-submittal anxiety, here’s what to expect after you click “submit” on your UA application:
- After you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation email from the University of Arizona. You may not receive the email instantaneously - fear not, it will get to the email address you used on your application soon.
- Next, you will receive an email in 2 days containing instructions on how to login to UA Future. You will use UA Future to check the status of your application and view any outstanding requirements. Your application status and remaining items checklist will populate in UA Future about 24 hours after you submit your application. You will also want to make sure you submit any official transcripts we need from you as soon as possible – the processing time for your application will remain the same, but you will receive your decision sooner than if you wait to submit them.
- Finally, in 2-4 weeks, you will receive your admissions decision on your UA Future account followed shortly by your admissions packet from UA. Once you receive your decision, you will be able to use your Student ID and PIN number to create your UA NetID and password, which you will need to complete all of the enrollment items in your Next Steps Center.
If you still have questions about your application, please do not hesitate to contact your UA Admissions counselor or our office at (520) 621-3237. Thanks for your interest in becoming a Wildcat and we look forward to reviewing your application!
