Calling all Wildcats!!
I am Tristen V, a senior at the University of Arizona studying Neuroscience and Cognitive Science with minors in Psychology and French language. I hail from Phoenix, Arizona which is just 1.5 hours away from Tucson. Originally, I wanted to go to school out-of-state, but I was fortunate to receive the Flinn Scholarship as a high school senior which translates to a full-ride scholarship to one of three public Arizona universities. With a newfound plan to remain in-state, I decided on UA after a visit to the campus with other finalists in the scholarship program. I had the most informative and engaging experience and also had a great deal of fun.
Since my first visit, I have gotten very involved around the UA. I work for the Office of Admissions as a student counselor. I am an ambassador for the UA Honors College and a member of the CATalayst STEM Outreach club and the Neuroscience and Cognitive Science Association of Students. I have conducted research at the UA since my freshman year and also function as a mentor to younger students in my major.
