How to Apply

Are you ready to be a Wildcat? Before you begin your admissions application, please review the following steps for the undergraduate and graduate process.

Create Account

To apply for admission to the University of Arizona Online, click “Apply Now” to visit the application portal and log in or create a new account.

Complete Application

Select "Arizona Online & Other AZ Locations" to access the application for Arizona Online. 

As part of the application process, you will be required to pay a $65 application fee by debit or credit through the application portal.

Submit Transcripts

Submit official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities, including military institutions and Joint Service transcripts. All electronic transcripts should be sent directly from your institution to:

If you are a transfer applicant and have not yet completed an associate's degree, you will be required to submit an official high school or GED transcript listing your graduation date.

Go to GradApp

To complete the University of Arizona admissions application go to the online portal.

Create Your Account

You’re almost there, just create your GradApp account. Then you will need to develop your student profile including personal information and previous education data.

Apply

When completing your application, first choose online campus and then degreecertificate, or non-degree seeking to reveal the program of study options and semester choices. Next, work to complete the application checklist.

Pay the Fee

Pay the application fee, review, and submit your application:

$90 | degree and certificate programs
$45 | non-degree programs
$95 | international applications

Submit Transcripts

Once you have been approved but before you have registered for classes, you must submit official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities to the Graduate College.

Students whose names have changed should ensure their current name is included on all transcripts.

Official e-transcripts sent directly from the institution or clearinghouse can be sent to: 

transcripts@grad.arizona.edu.

Check Your Status

Check with the department you intend to study with regarding submission of all needed transcripts, proof of degrees, test scores, and letters of recommendation.

After you apply online, you may check the status of your application at your convenience by logging back in to the application system at apply.grad.arizona.edu.

Scholarship Opportunities

Spread the Cost

You may be eligible to enroll in a payment plan each semester to spread the cost of your tuition across three separate installments.

Active Military

The University of Arizona Online offers a reduced military tuition assistance rate of $250 per credit for any bachelor's degree.

Transfer Scholarship

Transferring from an Arizona community college? You may be eligible to receive a renewable scholarship of $500 per semester.

These examinations are a means of satisfying certain course requirements, or for earning extra course credits, without having to enroll formally in the courses. Specific CLEP tests are based on the knowledge acquired through self-education and experience. The University of Arizona accepts CLEP for college credit, providing satisfactory scores are attained; not all CLEP exams are awarded credit at the UA. The University of Arizona Online follows a semester-based schedule and enrolls students year-round. Each session has a different application deadline. Undergraduate tuition ranges from $500 to $610 per credit. Graduate tuition ranges from $650 to $1332 per credit. There is no out-of-state tuition and you can pay per credit.
