The University of Arizona welcomes home school students and recognizes the unique academic experiences these students contribute to our rich, scholarly environment.
A student that has taken more than one year of home school coursework should follow these guidelines:
Freshman home school applicants are required to submit test scores in order to complete their application. You may self-report or send a transcript for initial admissions consideration. All self-reported coursework must be verified prior to the start of your first year at the UA with submission of an official final home school transcript, which must be signed.
Transfer applicants under the age of 22 who were home schooled must submit an official, signed home school transcript and submit test scores for admissions consideration. Home school transcripts and test scores are waived for transfer applicants who are over the age of 22. If you've completed any post-secondary course work during or after high school, you will be asked to submit official college transcripts.
Test scores are also REQUIRED in order to be considered for merit scholarships, the UA Honors College, the College of Nursing, or the College of Engineering.
As of March 2016, the College Board has issued a redesigned SAT. The University of Arizona will accept the previous test scores for years to come.
