Change of Admission Start Term Process for Summer/Fall 2021
Admitted first-year, transfer, readmit and non-degree seeking applicants for Arizona Online both domestic and international, may request to change their admission start term for any reason.
Students can change their admission start term for up to 2 semesters*.
*Students requesting to change their admission start term due to a faith based mission or military service may delay start up to 4 terms/semesters.
When can I request a change of start term for my admission?
Admitted undergraduate students can request a change up to 1 year from the start of their original admit term but no later than 2 weeks prior to the 2nd 7 week session start date.
Steps to request a change of admission start term
Step 1Withdraw classes
If you are enrolled in classes
Before you can submit the change of admission start term request form you will have to withdraw* from your classes. It is your responsibility to withdraw from classes. You must withdraw from all classes before the end of the refund period based on the session or term you are enrolled in or you will be responsible for all tuition charges. Login your UAccess Student Center to withdraw from classes.
*If you withdraw after the refund deadline you do not need to submit a change of admission start term, you will remain active and able to register for the next term. Any financial aid or scholarship disbursements must be returned.
If you are not enrolled in classes, go to Step 2
Step 2Submit your change of admission start term request form
Login your Future Wildcat Account, click on your application and go to the change of admission start term tab to fill out and submit your form.
When you submit your change of admission start term request form, you are also cancelling your housing application if applicable. You will be responsible for any nonrefundable housing charges or other university charges you might have on your account. You can view your UAccess Student Center to see if you have any outstanding charges.
If you have been awarded a merit tuition scholarship, upon submission of your change of admission start term form your merit tuition scholarship will be retained for the future term. If the merit awards change for the term you changed to, you will not be eligible for the new award amount.
Conditions of change of admission start term
The change of admission start term is not to exceed 4 semesters based on the qualifying reason outlined above.
If you have been awarded a scholarship, you may not attend another university before your enrollment. Your record will be reviewed through the National Clearinghouse to confirm that you were not enrolled at another university prior to your enrollment at the University of Arizona.
Transfer students who enroll at another university and were offered a merit tuition scholarship will no longer be eligible for that scholarship, your admission will be cancelled and you will have to reapply for admission and submit updated transcripts.

Yes, if you would like to change your cancellation for fall 2021, you can contact admissions at email@example.com to have your admission reinstated and then you can submit the change of admission start term request form.
Yes, you will need to contact us in writing at firstname.lastname@example.org to make this request as the change of admission start term request form will not allow you to pick an earlier term. You will need to make this request before the deadline to request a change to spring 2022 so that we can update your term before spring semester begins.
No, if you were admitted for summer/fall 2021 and completed summer courses at the University of Arizona, you will remain active and eligible to enroll for spring 2022 or fall 2022. However, if you have a merit tuition scholarship you will need to request a deferment for your scholarship to see if you can retain your scholarship when you return. If you want to enroll after fall 2022 you will have to reapply for admission.
