When people ask, “Why did you choose UA?” I have a difficult time formulating a response. To be honest, I was not one of those people who always dreamed of going here. UA was in my list of options, but I did not have a “dream school”. I participated in an Arizona Experience event the fall of my senior year of high school and that all changed. I absolutely fell in love with the University of Arizona; I loved the campus, the school spirit, and the opportunities it provided.
Incepted in 1885, the University of Arizona has played an integral role in the rich history of the city upon it was founded, Tucson. Today, Tucson is a city with more than 500,000 residents and more than a million if you count the surrounding communities and suburbs. Even being the 33rd most populous city in the United States, Tucson is in every sense of the word a college town.
At the University of Arizona, we are receiving applications and admitting new Wildcats every day. We also receive many emails and phone calls from students requesting the status of their application or wondering why they haven’t received a decision yet.
